Lucky day...

Today i was really lucky, it was deadline day for turning in our idea on the revolution project....the 25th of april portuguese revolution project i talked about on an earlier post.................and all i got done was a stupid hand made paper towel with my idea and a whole bunch of stuff that i still am not sure about...............i thought of not showing up, i thought that would be even worse so i went.........when i got there and saw the other projects i thought of leaving..............but what the heck.......i presented it anyway........the teacher loved it....because of the idea wich he thinks is good and because of the personal aproach.....it's not tha first time i've gotten lucky like this:)

It's hard to understand especially because it's in portuguese but i'll explain it better when i have more to show.

Just a question to anyone who want's to answer.....do restaurants in your country use these paper towels on the tables?

Gonna work on day n#3

FINISHED !

I actually put myself to it and was able to finish my poster on tuesday, actually 1 a.m. wednesday, but it counts as tuesday.
I was a little too tired to blog though and had to get up early the next day to print it on a plotter and send it on it's way to France.
But it's done i'm actually very proud with the result and really hope it makes the 200 chosen for the exhibition.
I'll tell you all about it if it does.

I'm really happy with my persistence I would normally not finish it, maybe i't tha pressure of having posted it on the blog :)

Bye

My most recent school project

Hi,
i haven't really talked about any of my school projects, there are actually 3 school projects that i can show on my blog, the other are written projects that i might talk about if i find it interesting enough.
The one i'm introducing today is a poster for a contest in france called « Etudiants, tous à Chaumont! ». Every year this french city promotes a contest for design and art students to participate in with posters, this year the theme is the riots that occurried in french suburbs, where more than 200 cars were burned by french teenagers that feel excluded from their rights.
The theme is officially: "What's behind the uprisings in the Banlieues"

http://www.ville-chaumont.fr/visiteguidee/festival.html

My ideia is to take certain objects used in street art like the marker (for tags) and the spray can (for grafitti) and write the words Loud and Louder on these objects, giving the ideia that they are used so the people who express themselves through them can be heard.
I am then going to use a gasoline can an write Even Louder on it, which means they have tried to be heard through pacific methods and had to use more violent ones to get attention.
The ideia isen't bad but the visual result still has to be worked on.
So that's what i'll be doing today all day long just that....i'll show you the results soon....
Bye:)

Reason n#1

Alright today i'm just gonna talk a little about the reason that made me want to start blogging.

http://rhonnafarrer.typepad.com/dreamy/

Yap that's right Rhonna Farrer, not only have i enjoyed reading her very creative blog for the last couple of months but i was also really touched by The {21} Challenge she launhched, and also by the quantity of people that are actually participating, i didn't enter the challenge but i have been looking around and seeing what other people have been doing , and i love it so far.
But so that i don't continue on only looking and never showing here's a page from my journal(that's the best name for it i think:o)) where i sometimes write down some things in my personality that i strive to change.
bye!

Hello

this is my first post, and i'm still not absolutly sure what i'll be writting on this blog. But i do know one thing for sure, i've got to stop looking at other people doing things, i've got to do things as well.

I'm from Portugal, and we have a saying here:"Não deixes para amanhã o que podes fazer hoje." That means don't leave something for tomorrow if u can do it today.

I'm a student designer so i guess i'll be talking alot about my projects, and i guess i'll also be posting some pages from my graphic diary, or as some call theese things my scrapbooks.
